Guy's 60 point game gives him Player of the Week

28-year old point guard Daylon Guy (183-PG-92) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team FW F.I.R.M. and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 1.

He had the game-high 60 points adding six rebounds and two assists for FW F.I.R.M. in his team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team Georgia E. (#3, 0-1) with 24-point margin 97-73. It allowed FW F.I.R.M. to consolidate first place in the UBA league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and FW F.I.R.M. won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Guy had a remarkable nine three-pointers out of 17 attempts. He just recently signed at FW F.I.R.M. and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Tarleton State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Guy is league's best scorer averaging so far 43.5ppg and is league's best passer with 8.5apg. Guy is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 6.5rpg) and averages solid 3.5spg and 48.1% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Je'Lon Hornbeak (190-G-94). He is a guard in his first season at FW F.I.R.M.. In the last game Hornbeak recorded impressive 37 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course together with Guy he helped FW F.I.R.M. with another comfortable win 92-75 over GIE Maile M. (0-1) being unquestionably team leader. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Hornbeak is one of the most experienced players at FW F.I.R.M. and similarly like Daylon Guy has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.5ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 7.0rpg and 8.0apg.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Dominique Holmes (198-F-84) of league's leader Atlanta Ice. Holmes scored 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was a key player of Atlanta Ice, leading his team to a 73-56 easy win against #4 ranked Atlanta K. in a game of the week. Atlanta Ice has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Holmes also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Holmes as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
