Texas Rize win UBA championship: A.D. Duncan Finals MVP

The 2019 UBA season is officially over, and for the third consecutive year, a champion has been crowned from the state of Texas. In Sunday's championship game, Finals MVP A.D. Duncan led the No. 8-seeded Texas Rize against Terrence Cato and the No. 6-seeded Austin Greeners. The margin was tight down the stretch, but in the end, Duncan was the MVP for a reason. He led Rize to their first championship, 100-97, over Austin Greencers. Duncan, of course, won the championship with a three-point play down the stretch. He poured in 18 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists in the championship game, capping off a nearly flawless season for the former UBA All-Star.

Teammate John Joseph was also honored post game as the 2019 USBasket.com All-UBA League Defensive Player of the Year.  Joseph led the UBA in steals with an impressive 3.2 steals per game.
