UBA Round 2: Atlanta Savage and Matrix keep leadership position

Atlanta S. defeated Georgia E. at home 88-77. Guard Marquis Barnes (183-86, college: Gordon CC) scored 23 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Brandon Bland (191, college: Columbus St.) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Reed Braxton responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Georgia E. will play next round against Vipers trying to get back on the winning streak. Atlanta S. will try to continue on its current victory against Atlanta Ice at home.
Atlanta Ice recorded a loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by GIE Maile Matrix81-71. Guard Josh Montgomery (196-91, college: SSU) notched 30 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Erron Maxey supported him with 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 23 points and 8 rebounds by forward Dominique Holmes (198-84, college: SPSU) did not help to save the game for Atlanta Ice. GIE Maile Matrix will play against Atlanta K. in the next round. Atlanta K.'s coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Scheraun King produced 29 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts.
